Inflammation it one of the top causes of disease. It can cause cancer and heart disease.  It is also a by product of Lyme disease and other irritating, infections. So here are 6 tips to try and reduce it in you. After all, if you want to be magnificent. You need a healthy pain free body.

Changing your diet and losing weight are the basis of these tips.

  1. Eat antioxidants and polyphenols. Foods rich in these reduce ‘ free radicals” We don’t want these little buggers to run around and cause more inflammation! . Foods rich in these are green tea, fruits and vegetables, like broccoli, kale, collards, rutabaga, turnips and berries. Not bad . right?
  2. EAT essential fats. Like omega -6 and omega-3 in a balance please. .Most of us eat too much omega 6 like with nuts and processed crackers and cookies., so eat more omega -3  . like salmon, flax and chia seeds, avocado and walnuts..to balance it out.  not bad , right ?
  3. Add spices, like Turmeric, garlic, cinnamon, cayenne pepper and ginger .I put all of those into my smoothie in the morning. Yup.. even the garlic. A whole clove.. but not on a date night. Lets give our loved ones a break.
  4. Move around !! even moderate exercise 45 to 60 minutes of jogging or walking THREE TMES  a week minimum. You can do that !
  5. Keep it at a minimum and lower that cortisol. That can  keep you less inflamed. If you are having a stressful day. Try and go somewhere quiet for lunch;  Or go to meditate for 15 minutes; Or go  look at your pictures from your last beautiful vacation. Try and figure out how to do your life less stressed. Be honest with yourself.
  6. Sleep MORE Lack of sleep makes the body ripe for infection, while more sleep has the opposite effect. And if you sleep less than 8 hours a night, you could be at risk for gaining weight. So that last one,  probably clinched the deal. Sleep vs gaining weight? . A no brainer. Go to sleep and snuggle under the covers and dream your way to wonderful health.
